Privacy Policy
4Gentic is the operating brand of Agentic Chain INC. ("4Gentic", "we", "us"), an AI lab that builds governed, long-running systems and operates a portfolio of vertical AI ventures. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website at www.4gentic.ai and our corporate communications, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It is written to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (CCPA/CPRA), Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Quebec's Law 25, and other comparable privacy laws.
Each of our subsidiary products operates under its own product privacy notice that governs data collected inside that product. This document covers the 4Gentic corporate website and any data we hold as the parent company. Where a product notice exists and conflicts with this policy for that product, the product notice controls.
1. Who is the data controller
The controller of personal information collected through this website is:
Agentic Chain INC.
Operating as 4Gentic
BC company · Registry ID BC1572750
Registered office: North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
Phone: +1 (604) 379-1189
Email: privacy@4gentic.ai
General contact: contact@4gentic.ai
For users in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may direct inquiries to the same address; we will respond as the controller for personal data collected through this site.
2. Information we collect
We collect a deliberately small amount of information. The categories are:
- Information you give us. When you email us, fill in a contact form, request a demo, or apply to a role, we receive your name, email address, any message body you write, and any attachments you choose to send. If you contact us about a venture we operate, we may receive company information you supply (for example, company name, role, or website).
- WhatsApp Business messages. If you contact us on WhatsApp — for example, by clicking a "chat on WhatsApp" link or messaging one of our WhatsApp Business numbers — we receive your phone number, your WhatsApp profile name and photo (where you have made them visible), the contents of the messages you send us, any media you attach, and the technical metadata WhatsApp adds (timestamps, delivery and read receipts). The WhatsApp service itself is operated by Meta Platforms, Inc.; see Section 8.
- Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, our hosting provider and any analytics we use receive standard log data: IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser type and version, device type, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps. This is used to keep the site online and to understand aggregate traffic.
- Cookies and similar technologies. See Section 7 for the specific categories (strictly necessary, analytics, advertising) and how to control them.
- Investor and partner correspondence. If you reach out as a prospective investor, partner, or hire, we keep the correspondence and any materials you share for as long as the relationship is active and for a reasonable period afterward.
We do not collect special categories of personal data (such as health, biometric, or precise geolocation data) through this website, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.
3. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- respond to your inquiries, schedule conversations, and follow up on demos or proposals;
- operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website and corporate communications;
- run aggregate analytics so we can see what content is useful and where the site breaks;
- measure the effectiveness of any marketing campaigns we run on platforms such as Meta, LinkedIn, and Google;
- comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our Terms of Service; and
- protect our rights, our users, and the public from fraud, abuse, and security threats.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use the contents of your emails, messages, or demo requests to train third-party generative AI models, and we do not share them with model providers for training purposes.
4. Legal bases (EEA / UK)
If you are in the EEA or the UK, our legal bases under the GDPR are:
- Consent — for non-essential cookies, marketing analytics, and any advertising-pixel processing we enable in the future.
- Contract / pre-contract — to respond to a request you have initiated (for example, a demo, an email, or a WhatsApp message).
- Legitimate interests — to keep the site secure, prevent abuse, run aggregate analytics, and contact prospects in a business-to-business context. You can object at any time.
- Legal obligation — to comply with applicable law, including tax, accounting, and law-enforcement requests that are properly authorized.
5. Sharing and disclosure
We share personal information only with the following categories of recipients:
- Service providers (processors) who run the infrastructure of our website and communications — including hosting, email delivery, customer-relationship tooling, error monitoring, and analytics. These providers act on our written instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes.
- Messaging providers. Meta Platforms, Inc. operates the WhatsApp service; when you message us on WhatsApp, your message and metadata transit and are stored on Meta's infrastructure as part of delivering the service to you. See Section 8.
- Advertising and measurement partners. If, in the future, we run paid campaigns on platforms such as Meta, Google, or LinkedIn, those platforms will process measurement data on our behalf. See Section 8 for the current state and what would change if we enable this.
- Professional advisors — lawyers, accountants, auditors, and insurers — under obligations of confidentiality.
- Authorities — when we are required to disclose information by a valid legal process, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, or property.
- Acquirers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, in which case we will require the recipient to honor this Policy or notify you of any material change.
We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not currently "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. We do not currently run an advertising pixel on this site (see Section 8). If that changes, we will update this Policy and offer California residents the opt-out controls described in Section 7.
6. International data transfers
We are based in Canada, and several of our service providers are based in the United States and other jurisdictions. Where personal data is transferred out of the EEA, the UK, or Canada, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, and equivalent contractual mechanisms with our processors — and on adequacy decisions where they apply. You may request a copy of the relevant safeguards by contacting us at privacy@4gentic.ai.
7. Cookies and tracking technologies
Our website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies. The categories are:
- Strictly necessary. Required for the site to function — for example, to remember that you have closed a notice. These are always on.
- Analytics. Help us understand aggregate usage. We may use a privacy-preserving analytics provider, and where required by law we ask for your consent before loading it.
- Advertising. If we run paid campaigns, advertising cookies and pixels — for example on Meta or Google — would be used to measure performance and build similar audiences. We do not currently load advertising cookies on this site; if we begin to do so, they will be loaded only after you consent in jurisdictions where consent is required.
You can control non-essential cookies through your browser, through any consent banner we display, and — for California residents — by sending a Global Privacy Control signal, which we honor as a valid request to opt out of "sale" and "sharing".
8. WhatsApp Business and other Meta integrations
Where 4Gentic uses Meta products to interact with you, the primary channel is WhatsApp Business, which we may operate as one of our contact channels. The WhatsApp service is provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (in the EEA and UK) and Meta Platforms, Inc. (elsewhere) under their own terms.
When you contact us on WhatsApp:
- we are the controller of the message content, your phone number, your WhatsApp profile name and photo, and any media you send, for the purpose of replying to you and following up on your inquiry;
- Meta is the controller of the WhatsApp service itself — including end-to-end encrypted transit, message delivery, account information, device information, and the technical metadata WhatsApp generates. Meta's processing of that data is governed by the WhatsApp Privacy Policy;
- we keep our copy of your WhatsApp messages on our systems for the retention period in Section 9. Deleting a message inside WhatsApp does not delete our copy; to ask us to delete it, contact privacy@4gentic.ai;
- messages we send to you on WhatsApp are not automated marketing broadcasts — we use WhatsApp only for one-to-one business conversations that you have initiated. We do not add you to a marketing list on the basis of a WhatsApp inquiry without separate consent.
We do not currently install the Meta Pixel, use the Meta Conversions API, or run paid advertising on Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, or the Audience Network on this website. If we begin to do so, we will update this Policy before the change takes effect, name the categories of data shared with Meta, and — in the EEA, UK, Quebec, and any U.S. state with an applicable right — request consent or honor opt-outs as required.
To manage your relationship with Meta directly: see Meta's Privacy Policy and the WhatsApp Privacy Policy. You can block our WhatsApp Business number from inside WhatsApp at any time.
9. Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it, and then we delete or anonymize it. As a guide:
- contact-form messages and email correspondence: up to 24 months after our last interaction;
- WhatsApp Business conversations: up to 24 months after our last interaction, or sooner on request;
- investor, partner, and hiring correspondence: up to 36 months after our last interaction, longer where required by law;
- web server logs: up to 90 days for security and abuse-prevention purposes;
- analytics and ad-measurement data: per the retention configured in the relevant platform, typically 13–24 months;
- records we are required to keep (tax, accounting, regulatory): for the period set by applicable law.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy in a portable format;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- delete your information, subject to limited exceptions;
- restrict or object to certain processing, including direct marketing;
- withdraw consent where we rely on consent, without affecting prior processing;
- opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, and of profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects (we do not currently engage in such profiling);
- not be discriminated against for exercising these rights; and
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in the EEA, with your local Data Protection Authority; in the UK, with the Information Commissioner's Office; in Canada, with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner; in Quebec, with the Commission d'accès à l'information.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@4gentic.ai. We will respond within the timelines set by applicable law (typically 30 days, extendable in complex cases). We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.
11. Security
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information — including encryption in transit, access controls, least-privilege provisioning, and vendor due diligence. No system is perfectly secure; if you believe your information has been compromised, please tell us at security@4gentic.ai.
12. Children
Our website and our products are intended for adults and for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this Policy
We will update this Policy when our practices change or when the law requires it. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. If we make a material change, we will provide appropriate notice before it takes effect — for example, by posting a notice on the website or by emailing you if we already correspond with you.
14. Contact
Questions, requests, or complaints about this Policy can be sent to privacy@4gentic.ai. For other inquiries, write to contact@4gentic.ai. If you do not receive a response within a reasonable time, you may also escalate to the supervisory authorities listed in Section 10.
